CAMBRIDGE, WI (Thursday, June 19, 2008) – NASCAR Nationwide Series competitor David Stremme has entered The Swiss Colony All-Star Challenge, Roy Kenseth of RK Race Promotions has announced today. Stremme will be returning to Madison International Speedway for the first time in six years on Tuesday, June 24th.
Stremme will join Matt Kenseth, Tony Stewart, Kyle Busch, and some of the best Midwest Super Late Model drivers in a 100-lap feature event this upcoming Tuesday night.
He made his last appearance at MIS on July 31, 2002 as he finished third behind Steve Carlson in the American Speed Association National Tour event. He would go on to collect two wins, 13 top-five and 15 top-ten finishes. He finished 4th in the season point standings under the watchful eye of veteran crew chief Howie Lettow.
In 2003, he advanced to the NASCAR Nationwide Series where in 116 starts he has 19 top-five and 42 top-ten finishes. He also has made 75 starts in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series where he has three top-ten finishes.
Tickets will be available on race day for $25 for adults and $10 for ages 10 and under. You can also purchase advance tickets at Madison International Speedway’s office or at Clear Channel Madison, located at 2651 Fish Hatchery Road, during normal business hours at each location until Wednesday, June 18th.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early and visit the Fan Zone located right outside the main entrance.
